Use daily as a moisturising treatment, natural perfume or as part of your Abhyanga self-care practice to bring balance to your body, mind and soul.

• To use as a moisturising treatment: Begin by warming a small amount of oil between the palms of your hands and apply to slightly damp skin. Massage into your skin using firm strokes until fully absorbed.
• As an Abhyanga massage treatment: For optimal results, incorporate Abhyanga massage into your daily routine—using firm but gentle strokes. The practice should always feel nourishing, rather than painful.

While Abhyanga is intended as a daily practice, practitioners agree that massage should be avoided if you’re feeling unwell or have a fever, and when menstruating. As with Garshana dry body brushing, also avoid any areas of irritated, inflamed or sensitive skin.

1. Before showering, warm your preferred LAMAV Ayurvedic Body Oil by placing it in hot water until it reaches your desired temperature.
2. Begin your massage at the crown of the head, using your fingers to rub gently in a clockwise motion.
3. Then, focus on your extremeties—the hands and feet—using an open, flat palm and firm strokes.
4. To massage the arms and legs, use firm upwards and downwards strokes, switching to circular motions for your joints.
5. To massage the belly, use circular clockwise motions to assist with the natural flow of digestion.
6. Follow with your chest, using upward strokes from underneath the breasts up towards your collarbone and neck.
7. Reach your lower back as best you can, using your fingertips to massage downwards, promoting increased energy.
8. Take your time, massaging the whole body for up to 20 minutes—and if possible, allow the oils to penetrate for several minutes before enjoying a warm shower.

For a product to be Certified Organic, it must contain a minimum of 70% Certified Organic ingredients—which are grown, processed and controlled according to strict standards. The Certified Organic seal of approval also provides you with the peace of mind that products are free range, cruelty-free, free from GMO’s, synthetic chemicals, petrochemicals, pesticides, herbicides, hormones, antibiotics, artificial colours and fragrances.

The main difference between Certified Organic and natural products is that Certified Organic means that most of the ingredients have to be Certified Organic—which means they are cultivated without the use of synthetic fertilisers, pesticides or other synthetic chemicals. Natural products however, require the ingredients to be natural—or not synthetic—but they don’t have to be grown or cultivated in the same way. While they may come from a natural source, they may not necessarily be organic.

Yes! At LAMAV we select to use only natural and organic ingredients in their purest form—without the addition of synthetic additives. This ensures that every formula is designed to work with all skin types and nourish your complexion on a cellular level—without causing irritation. As with any new product however, if your skin is sensitive, we recommend doing a patch test prior to use.

No, we do not include any artificial fragrances or perfumes in our products. We incorporate only Certified Organic essential oils that contain medicinal and therapeutic benefits including anti-ageing, stimulating local circulation, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and anti-fungal.
