The HINU Forest Bathing Natural Incense is handcrafted in Japan using centuries-old artisanal methods, inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing) the art of quiet immersion in the natural world.

Each stick releases the serene, woody aroma of ancient hinoki cypress blended with bright citrus notes, evoking the calm of sunlight filtering through trees after rain. This earthy, uplifting scent invites stillness, grounding, and nervous system regulation, a moment to pause and reconnect with yourself and the rhythms of the earth.

Light as part of your morning ritual, to mark transitions throughout your day, or to unwind in the evening. Allow the gentle smoke to centre your breath, clear your space, and anchor you in presence.

  • About HINU

Hinu, meaning oil in Māori, is a space dedicated to creating slow and intentional organic rituals and remedies. Through the wisdom of nature and our ancestors, each product has been designed to make the daily hair routine a ritual, to celebrate the longevity of healthier hair.

  • Meet The Founder

Born and raised in Aotearoa, founder Allie Cameron has a deep connection to nature and working with the earth as a way of medicine. Maori believe that the head is the most tapu, sacred, part of the body and where a strong connection to your mana, strength, is held. A few years ago Allie suffered from chronic stress and experienced hair loss as a result. She created the hair growth oil to reconnect back with her roots, her hair and herself. Through the ritual of hair oiling she was able to overcome hair loss, decrease stress and create a calm nervous system.
