How To Use

This cleanser can be used twice daily, either on its own or in conjunction with our other LAMAV cleansers as part of your double cleansing routine.

Apply directly to dry skin. Gently massage all over face and neck using circular motions. Rinse off with lukewarm water and remove product residue with a clean cleansing cloth.

If cleansing at night or using for makeup removal, follow with the LAMAV with our Sweet Orange or Hydra Calm Cream Cleanser for a complete double cleanse.

Ingredients

Marula Oil is native to Southern Africa and extracted from the kernels of the Marula Tree, this oil contains fatty acids and antioxidants—including vitamins E and C—which are essential for the maintenance of healthy skin and work to prevent free radical damage.
Its lightweight and non-greasy texture also make it an excellent moisturiser as it absorbs easily—promoting smoother, more hydrated skin.
Proven for its anti-inflammatory abilities, Raspberry Seed Oil helps to soothe inflammatory skin conditions. Rich in linoleic acid, essential fatty acids and antioxidants such as vitamin A and vitamin E—it’s also deeply nourishing for the skin and assists in reducing the visible signs of ageing such as fine lines and wrinkles by helping to promote collagen synthesis and fight free radical damage.
Jojoba Oil is a liquid wax that is very similar to our skin’s natural sebum—it penetrates easily and is a natural humectant, helping to hydrate the skin and lock in moisture. Rich in skin-nourishing vitamin E, jojoba seed oil also fights oxidative stress—helping to firm skin and prevent fine lines and wrinkles.
Bergamot Oil and Peru Balm oil cleanses and balances, while stimulating the elimination of dead skin cells.
Camellia and Sweet Almond Oil nourish and condition the skin, helping maintain optimum hydration levels.
Vitamin E helps prevent premature ageing and maintain skin’s youthful glow, firmness and elasticity.

What skin type is best suited to the LAMAV Marula Oil Cleaner?

This nourishing cleanser is suitable for all skin types, but is particularly effective for ageing or mature skin, dry or dehydrated skin types as well as sensitive skin.

How long should I leave the Marula Oil Cleanser on my skin for best results?

We recommend following the 60 second rule. Active ingredients are great for those with specific skin concerns and/or a minimal skincare routine—but for the product to work its magic, you should gently cleanse the skin for about a minute. For best results, follow with your favourite LA MAV toner.

What is double cleansing and why is it important?

Double cleansing is arguably the most important step in your skincare regime! The first cleanse helps to remove any makeup, impurities, excess sebum, grit or grime that settles on your skin throughout the day while the second cleanse helps to cleanse more deeply into your pores and remove any remaining dead skin cells. This ensures that the active ingredients in your Booster, Serum and Moisturiser are able to penetrate and be absorbed more effectively into the skin’s surface. The result? Healthy, clear and glowing skin!

Will the Marula Oil Cleanser remove makeup?

Yes! Use gentle circular motions to massage the product into your skin, removing makeup, excess grime and other impurities.

What does Certified Organic Mean?

All LAMAV products are Certified Organic and have the Certified Organic seal by the OFC. For a product to be Certified Organic, it must contain a minimum of 70% Certified Organic ingredients—which are grown, processed and controlled according to strict standards. The Certified Organic seal of approval also provides you with the peace of mind that products are free range, cruelty-free, free from GMO’s, synthetic chemicals, petrochemicals, pesticides, herbicides, hormones, antibiotics, artificial colours and fragrances.

What is the difference between Certified Organic and Natural Products?

The main difference between Certified Organic and natural products is that Certified Organic means that most of the ingredients have to be Certified Organic—which means they are cultivated without the use of synthetic fertilisers, pesticides or other synthetic chemicals. Natural products however, require the ingredients to be natural—or not synthetic—but they don’t have to be grown or cultivated in the same way. While they may come from a natural source, they may not necessarily be organic.

Do LAMAV products contain any artificial fragrances?

No, we do not include any artificial fragrances or perfumes in our products. We incorporate only Certified Organic essential oils that contain medicinal and therapeutic qualities.

Dr Tarj Mavi is a veterinarian, a pathologist, research scientist and clean beauty pioneer - developing the first Certified Organic Skincare range in Australia to infuse bio-actives.

Like many women, Tarj experienced first-hand how hormonal imbalances can affect the skin and contribute to skin sensitivity and pigmentation. Confronted by its impact, Tarj was committed to finding a safe and effective solution to her skin issues.

Drawing on her experience as a scientist and researcher, as well as her deep respect for the natural world, Tarj began to combine her in depth knowledge of safety and efficacy of natural bio-actives to create formulas that were completely pure. After testing hundreds of bio-actives and trialling countless combinations, Tarj finally launched the skincare range of 12 products in 2008, as she was inspired to share this knowledge with other women.
